A MAN in his 80s required hospital treatment to his arm after being bitten by a dog.
Police are now on the lookout for witnesses and the dog's owner - a woman believed to be in her 20s or 30s.
At around 1.45pm on Friday, June 25, the victim was stood at the edge of Hudson's Field in Salisbury, about to walk a dog with his daughter.
He had just got out of his car when he was approached by a dark-coloured dog, believed by police to be "a Staffordshire Bull Terrier or Bulldog-type dog", which bit him on the arm.
Police say it caused a "deep cut" to his arm which required hospital treatment.
The owner of the dog moved the animal away and apologised, but she left the scene without giving her details.
The woman is described as white, with long dark hair and was driving a cream-coloured car.
If you are the owner of the dog, you recognise this description or if you witnessed the incident, you can call PC Rachel Davies, from the Salisbury area community policing team on 101, quoting crime reference number 54210061124.
