A MOTORCYCLIST arrested over drugs possession, theft and dangerous driving was airlifted to hospital after a crash.
Wiltshire Police were called to reports of a serious collision last night (Friday, May 28) on Wilton Road, near the junction of Church Lane with the A36 Wilton Road, at 11.30pm which involved a single motorcycle.
The rider sustained serious injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
He was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, theft of a motorcycle, dangerous driving and driving without a licence or insurance.
A police spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a serious RTC at 11.30pm yesterday (28/05) on Wilton Road, Salisbury, involving a single motorcycle.
"The rider suffered serious injuries after his vehicle left the road. He was attended to by paramedics and transferred to hospital by air ambulance. His injuries are reported to be serious but not life changing or life threatening.
"The motorcyclist was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, theft of a motorcycle, dangerous driving and driving without a licence or insurance.
