WITH rain, rain and more rain in store for us over the next few days it begs the question - what can we do over the weekend?
From pubs to exhibits, dining to bowling, there are still plenty of great ways to enjoy the weekend in Salisbury - whatever the weather.
Here are just five things you can get up to in the city centre this weekend:
1) Pubs and restaurants
Indoor hospitality could not have come back soon enough! After being given the green light by the government, stage three of the Covid-19 lockdown road map commenced from Monday, May 17, meaning pubs, restaurants and cafes could welcome customers back indoors.
This has enabled more businesses across the city to reopen, and those already open can accept even more bookings.
Of course Covid-19 measures still apply, but foodies and punters can now enjoy different spots in the world of food and drink while escaping the rain.

2) Watch a movie
Pubs and restaurants are not the only places back in business - this week we saw the return of Salisbury's Odeon, with a variety of films already on offer.
Screenings at the cinema on New Canal this weekend include Peter Rabbit 2, Oscar-winning Nomadland, and Godzilla vs Kong.

3) The history of Salisbury
Step back in time with the Salisbury Museum, where you can learn all about the history of the city while enjoying artefacts and discoveries of years gone by.
Archaeology, artwork and costumes are just some of the collections on display.
Admission currently includes the Tudor LEGO brick display, which runs throughout the museum, and the special exhibition 'Richard Chopping: The Original Bond Artist'.

4) Solve a mystery
Perfect for a rainy day - Salisbury Escape Rooms is back with an adventure to solve, as guests transform into detectives to try and complete puzzles and challenges within just one hour.
With 'Death at the Lab' as the current scenario, this site on Fisherton Street is the only escape room created and built by detectives in the UK.
New owner Gavin Barrett took over the venture in February of this year, and has been working with games master Karl Sanger to come up with new ideas for future escape rooms.
5) Bowling and soft play area
Outburst - the independent home of soft play, bowling and laser tag - reopened earlier this week, and with no booking in advance necessary, there are lots of activities to enjoy all under one roof.
With something for all the family - Clown About runs from 9.30am until 6pm, Strikers bowling runs from 9.30am until 9.30pm and Laser A from 6.30pm until 9.30pm.
