A HOME working-style hub was visited by Salisbury's mayor and MP last week, in its grand opening ceremony.
The Salisbury Office is a new independent flexible workspace, located in the heart of the city.
A solution for those who have been forced to work from home because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the site on Endless Street offers nine luxury ‘pods’ that can be hired by the day, week or month.
On Friday, April 23, Salisbury MP John Glen, the city mayor John Walsh and Salisbury City Councillor Atiqul Hoque joined office owners Philip Connolly and Marcus Reynolds in cutting a ribbon and celebrating the new build.
"It was brilliant, I was so touched that they made the effort. I said to them don't be involved with the ceremony if you don't believe in it, I showed them around to see what they thought first and they all agreed it was something really useful," said Philip.
Since The Salisbury Office's opening last month, Philip said there has been "lots of support and enthusiasm" for the venture so far, and he hopes more people will consider using the space as lockdown continues to ease and confidence grows.
He added: "We're really excited, we're not rushed off our feet just yet but it isn't an issue - the people we do have are always coming back.
"Everyone who comes says it isn't what they had expected - you need to see it to understand.
"When we were told to work from home last year people thought it would be great, but quickly realised it's not as exciting as they thought.
"This is a great concept to move around and we hope we can help people with their productivity."
