A school in Tidworth is to remain closed today (January 4) due to "insufficient staff available".
Wellington Eagles Primary Academy will offer remote learning and provision for children of key workers from tomorrow (January 5).
But today, due to insufficient staff available, it will remain shut.
The news comes amid a row over school reopening against the backdrop of increasing Covid cases and deaths.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson said yesterday (January 3) that schools are safe but teachers unions have urged staff to keep schools closed.
In a message on its website, a spokesperson from Wellington Eagles said: "It is with regret that we have made the decision to close school on Monday 4th January due to insufficient staff available.
"Remote learning and provision for key worker children will be available from Tuesday 5th January. Please check your emails and website for further details."
