Heard at Swindon Magistrates:
NATHAN EDWARDS, aged 23, of Charles Road, Durrington, admitted breaching the requirements of a community order made by Salisbury Magistrates Court on April 12 last year. He failed to report to unpaid work on October 24, 2019, and failed to report to supervision on February 3 of this year. The community order will continue with a revised end date, and Edwards was ordered to pay costs of £60.
VIOREL MICIC, aged 41, of Jalland Street, Hull, was found guilty of driving while carrying a child in the car who was not wearing a suitable seatbelt restraint. On September 25 last year Micic was driving a Vauxhall Vectra along the A360 Druids Lodge, Salisbury, and a six-year-old was sat in the middle rear seat with an adult seatbelt loosely around her, without a suitable child restraint. Micic was also found guilty of driving this car without the appropriate policy of insurance. In total he was fined £700 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £70 and costs of £110. He was disqualified from holding a driving licence for six months.
EDWARD TAYLOR, aged 58, of Mercury Way, London, was found guilty of speeding in Chicklade. The incident took place on October 29 last year when Taylor was driving a Land Rover Range Rover along the A303 Woodbine Hill at a speed exceeding 70mph. It was also found that two of the fitted tyres did not meet legal requirements. He was fined £666 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £66 and costs of £110. Taylor was disqualified from holding a driving licence for 21 days.
PAUL STRANGE, aged 64, of Celtic Street, London, pleaded guilty to speeding, also in Chicklade. The incident took place on October 29 last year when the defendant was driving a Volkswagen Crafter along the A303 Woodbine Hill at a speed exceeding 60mph. He was fined £80 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £32 and costs of £110. Strange was disqualified from holding a driving licence for seven days.
JOHN HAND, aged 25, of Lime Kiln, Dinton, pleaded guilty to driving subject to a traffic order, at a speed exceeding 50mph. The incident took place on May 7 when Hand was driving a Peugeot Partner along the A36 Deptford, Warminster. He was fined £120 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and costs of £110. He was disqualified from holding a driving licence for 42 days.
