Wiltshire Council will be broadcasting its second live public Covid-19 update next month, to provide the latest local information and to answer residents’ questions.
The broadcast will take place on Tuesday December 8 at 5pm.
Wiltshire Council Leader, Cllr Philip Whitehead, will be joined by Terence Herbert, Chief Executive of Wiltshire Council, and Kate Blackburn, Director of Public Health.
The broadcast will be an opportunity to hear about the latest number of positive cases and the rate of Covid-19 cases in Wiltshire, the arrangements in place to mitigate the spread of the virus, and the work of Wiltshire Council to support residents and businesses at this time, the council says.
Residents can submit their questions about Covid-19 and the local response in advance by emailing communications@wiltshire.gov.uk no later than 5pm on Sunday December 6.
The live briefing will be broadcast via Microsoft Teams. It will also be recorded and made available via the council’s YouTube channel as soon as possible afterwards.
Cllr Philip Whitehead, Leader of Wiltshire council, said: “The response to our last broadcast was really positive, and we were pleased to provide clarity on all the information out there and make it as accessible as possible.
“Since then, we have been through national restrictions and are coming out the other side, so there will be plenty to update on – so we urge people to send us their questions and we’ll get through as many as we can.”
