A BUYER is being sought for a former post office building and the adjoining properties in Castle Street, Salisbury.
Savills and joint agent Christie and Co say they have been instructed to market the site, which is made up five adjoining properties, for in excess of £2 million.
They describe it as a "prime development opportunity in the heart of Salisbury".
There is a previous planning consent which was for a 56-bedroom boutique hotel, café/bar and fine dining restaurant, which has now lapsed.
Alex Campbell, director in Christie and Co’s hotels team, said: “This freehold site will appeal to a wide range of investors and developers seeking to secure development opportunities. The site would be suitable for a variety of uses subject to obtaining the necessary planning consents.”
The properties occupy a site area of 0.325 acres and are all within one title.
The five buildings are laid out over four floors, a basement, and three upper floors.
The post office in Castle Street was closed in March, 2016 and relocated to Winchester Street. However, the post office in Winchester Street shut in June 2018 later becoming an office for A-Plan.
