A MOTORIST was assaulted on a busy road in Salisbury yesterday.

At around 7am the male driver of a vehicle slowed down by the College Roundabout to allow a lorry to make a wide turn.

Wiltshire Police said a male motorist in a vehicle behind started sounding his horn "aggressively".

Police added that the driver of the first vehicle got out to ask the driver behind what the problem was, and while doing so the suspect got out of his vehicle and assaulted the victim.

The suspect then drove away.

PC Megan Peroni said: “We’d like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have dash cam footage of what happened.
