POLICE are currently dealing with an assault in Laverstock.

Wiltshire Police has described the incident on Wessex Road as a "serious assault", and one man has been arrested.

Officers have confirmed the incident is contained and there is no wider risk to the public, but there is likely to be a police presence in the area for the rest of the afternoon and this evening.
