A round-up of cases from Salisbury Magistrates Court:

JOHN FANTI, aged 26, of Herbert Road, Salisbury, indicated a plea of guilty to assaulting two police officers in Salisbury on February 29. He was ordered to pay compensation of £300.

DECLON MCLOUGHLIN, aged 30, of Freshfield Road, Brighton, pleaded guilty to assaulting a man at Salisbury Railway Station on December 31 last year. He was ordered to pay compensation of £200.

JOSHUA WILSON, aged 28, of Bulford Barracks, Salisbury, pleaded guilty to driving while exceeding the legal alcohol limit. On February 28 he was driving a vehicle along Great Amber Way in Amesbury, with 57 microgrammes of alcohol in every 100 millilitres of breath. He was fined £241 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £32 and costs of £85. The defendant was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for 16 months.

KIRSTIE GIBBONS, aged 25, of Drove Close, Coombe Bissett, pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis and driving after consuming drugs. On August 31 last year Gibbons was driving a Vauxhall Astra along Southampton Road, Salisbury, when the proportion of  cannabis in her system exceeded the specified limit. She was fined £323 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £32 and costs of £85. The defendant was disqualified from holding a driving licence for one year.

BEN MACKIE, aged 29, of Carlton Road North, Weymouth, failed to cooperate with a test, which involved a blood sample, to investigate whether he had committed an offence on September 8 last year while driving in Salisbury. He was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £90 and costs of £85, and must complete 100 hours of unpaid work. He was disqualified from holding a driving licence for 20 months.

DESMOND PRICE, aged 77, of Mill Road, Netheravon, pleaded guilty to driving without the appropriate license or policy of insurance. On September 6 last year Price was using a Vauxhall Meriva along the A338 in Tidworth, despite his licence being revoked on July 16. He was discharged conditionally for six months, his driving record was endorsed with six points and he was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £21 and costs of £85.
