A round-up of cases from Salisbury Magistrates Court:
FRANK BENNETT, aged 43, of Randalls Croft Road, Wilton, pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer while on duty, in Wilton on June 2 last year. He was committed to prison for 56 days and was ordered to pay compensation of £100.
LEON LEWIS, aged 21, of no fixed abode in Salisbury, was ordered to adhere to a granted domestic violence protection order from March 16, in which he was not allowed to contact the associated woman for 28 days.
STUART BEALE, aged 39, of Jaggard View, Amesbury, pleaded guilty to driving while exceeding the legal alcohol limit. On February 28 he was driving a Mercedes Vito along Jaggard View, with 41 microgrammes of alcohol in every 100 millilitres of breath. He was fined £200 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £32 and costs of £85. The defendant was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for 12 months.
JOSHUA COATES, aged 30, of Waverley Close, Bulford Camp, failed to cooperate with a test, which involved a saliva sample, to investigate whether he had committed an offence on November 21 last year in Amesbury. He was fined £266 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £32 and costs of £85. His driving record was endorsed with four points.

LEON LEWIS, aged 21, of no fixed abode in Salisbury, indicated a plea of guilty to possessing cocaine in Salisbury on July 25 last year. He was fined £40 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £32 and costs of £35.
NEHEMIAH BROWN, aged 33, of Winding Way, Salisbury, was found guilty of fishing without the appropriate license at Shearwater Lake, Warminster, on October 3 last year. He was fined £40 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £32 and costs of £135.
GAVIN LACEY, aged 33, of Churchill Court, Wilton, was found guilty of fishing without the appropriate license at Shearwater Lake, Warminster, on October 3 last year. He was fined £130 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £32 and costs of £135.
JACOB HAND, aged 36, of Vokes Way, Salisbury, pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman in Salisbury on August 19 last year. He was fined £633 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £63 and costs of £85.
