GRACE Church has seen its congregation grow with hundreds tuning in to watch its online services during the coronavirus pandemic.

The church normally meets at Sarum Academy in Salisbury and Stonehenge School in Amesbury.

It says attendance has "more than doubled with many hundreds tuning in via YouTube to watch either on a Sunday morning or later at their own convenience".

The 50 minute online services include a mixture of songs, prayer and reflection, a faith story from one of their members and a short talk aimed at helping and encouraging people.

Pastor Simon Redmill said: "We believe that the church is not the building but the people, and I wonder in these times of uncertainty whether more people are wanting to explore spiritual matters. We want to bring a message of hope and encouragement in these difficult days."

Grace Church is also running an online community quiz on Saturday evening at 7.30pm. It is free and all are welcome.

This, along with the church's Easter Sunday service at 10am, can be accessed via its YouTube channel.
