A round-up of cases from Salisbury Magistrates Court:
LEWIS WILSON, aged 47, of Allenwater Drive, Fordingbridge, pleaded guilty to driving a car in Bournemouth without the appropriate licence. On January 1 Wilson was spotted driving a Ford along Christchurch Road. He was fined £76 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £30 and costs of £85. His driving record was endorsed with three points.
DENISE DREWITT, aged 61, of Pinewood Close, Salisbury, was found guilty of intentionally damaging a Volkswagen Scirocco that did not belong to her, in Salisbury on April 29 last year. She was fined £113 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £30 and costs of £500.
Cases heard from Swindon Magistrates Court:
GARETH VAN-ZYL, aged 31, of Linslade Street, Swindon, pleaded guilty to driving in Salisbury after consuming drugs. The incident took place on July 23 last year when Van-Zyl was driving a Vauxhall Astra along Netherhampton Road with 7.4 micrograms of drug per litre of blood. He was fined £120 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £32 and costs of £85. He was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for 12 months.
AARON FERNANDO, aged 30, of The Avenue, Wilton, pleaded guilty to causing another person distress or harm through his behaviour, in Salisbury on December 9 last year. On the same day he stole alcohol to the value of £6.99 from Charlie’s Store, and he damaged a door inside John Baker House to the value of £250. He also failed to surrender to custody at Salisbury Magistrates Court on February 7, after being released on bail on January 24. Finally he admitted breaching a suspended sentence order made by Wiltshire Magistrates Court on June 14 last year, by committing criminal damage. He was fined £20 and was ordered to pay a total compensation of £356.99 and costs of £65. He must also complete 120 hours of unpaid work.
SYDNEY STANWIX, aged 21, of Rawlence Road, Salisbury, was found guilty of assaulting a man in Salisbury on March 25 last year. She also failed to surrender to custody at Salisbury Magistrates Court on February 12 this year, after being released on bail on November 6. Stanwix was ordered to pay compensation of £120 and costs of £100. A restraining order was made so she cannot contact the victim.
