Wiltshire Police has thanked a Salisbury business for a "selfless gesture" which will help keep officers safe.
The Chapel Nightclub on Milford Street was forced to shut to comply with Government rules.
Recognising the current shortage of essential protective equipment, staff have decided to donate hand sanitiser, gloves, sprays and wipes to Salisbury police officers.
Inspector Pete Sparrow said: "The last few years has seen stronger partnership working throughout the city. This was a selfless gesture from a local business who despite being significantly impacted by the current crisis, were still looking to support others for the greater good of the city. Thank you Amanda Newbery and staff at The Chapel. We look forward to working with you and your team as soon as it is safe to do so."
Any other businesses who has surplus supplies of hand sanitiser that they wish to donate is welcome to contact police on social media.
