LOVE is in the air in Lover as the village cupids send out special cards ready for Valentine’s Day.
Around 1,200 cards have already been processed with more orders still coming in.
The Lover village Valentine post service is in its fourth year, and the pop-up post office at the Old School in School Road was officially launched last week and has been receiving lots of visitors.
A new addition for 2020 is the Lover Darling Cafe, which is located in the pop-up post office.
It is named after the Darling family who reside in Lover and are keen bakers. The cafe is selling an array of baked biscuits and cakes, which visitors can enjoy while seeing the village cupids at work.
Stanley the dog, who was born on Valentine’s Day, is playing a starring role this year and is the Lover Valentine’s Post mascot. He also features on a range of new cards.
Royal Mail has come on board as the 2020 sponsors.
