A MAN has been arrested after Class B drugs and cash were found in a property in Amesbury.
This morning police dog Charlie located the drugs and money at an address in Earls Court Road after a warrant was executed.
A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs, and has been taken to Melksham custody for further questioning.
Inspector Liz Coles said: “We were assisted by specialist officers during this warrant including the dog unit and we are extremely grateful to police dog Charlie who helped locate the money inside the address.
“This is a great example of proactive community policing – the warrant was executed on the back of community intelligence received and additional police enquiries.
“I’d urge anyone with information about suspected drug activity in their neighbourhood to contact police. Any information we receive helps build up an intelligence picture and enables us to plan the appropriate action to take to ensure offenders are put before the courts.”
