AN ARSON attack caused a power cut in Salisbury, after a motorbike was driven into a substation.
The incident took place at around 11.50pm on Monday, when the substation on Brunel Road, near the Churchfields area, was hit.
PC James Barrett, the neighbourhood PC for Salisbury Community Policing Team, said this is believed to be an "isolated incident".
He added: “We believe this was a deliberate act and was carried out with the intention of targeting the security systems of a nearby business, despite the fact that no further crimes were then committed.
“We have been working with the relevant business on further security measures. We have also been carrying out increased patrols of the area.”
Anyone with information should call Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting crime reference 54200012066.
