A MAN from Wilton won the first prize of a Kia Picanto at this year's Stars Appeal Christmas Raffle.
Mr Palmer collected his new car this morning, which was supplied again by FJ Chalke.
The draw was conducted on January 16 by Stars Appeal Chairman Penny Brown, Breast Care Nurses Sonnya, Beka and Debbie, and George Chalke of FJ Chalke.
The raffle raised £26,900 to help the Stars Appeal enhance care for patients at Salisbury District Hospital.
Mr Palmer was very pleased with his prize, and said: “I never win anything! I am delighted to have won and to have supported the Stars Appeal.”
The second prize was for £1,000, and third prize was for £500.
Gemma Heath of the Stars Appeal said “Our huge thanks to everyone who bought a ticket and helped to raise a wonderful £26,900. And our congratulations to Mr Palmer, and all our lucky winners.” A full list of winners can be found at starsappeal.org.
