CHRISTMAS was celebrated in the Journal’s latest Camera Club competition, with lights, animals and decor being the most popular entries.
But it was Jane Luce who secured the top spot with her picture of a bauble hanging from a lit-up tree.
Judges congratulated the image for “capturing the essence of Christmas”, with “striking colours and textures”.
Second place was awarded to John Fellows for his “timeless postcard-style” shot of a robin.
Katrina Clark came in third place for a picture of her gingerbread house creation, which was praised for working beautifully with the background blur of lights.
