LOCALS are being warned that they have just a day left to register to vote.
The deadline to be able to have your say in next month's election is midnight on November 26.
Those who want to vote by post need to register by 5pm on the same day.
As well as this, if people want to nominate someone else to vote on their behalf, they have until 5pm on December 4 to let the government know.
To register to vote, people must:
• be 18 or over on the day of the election (December 12)
• be a British, Irish or qualifying Commonwealth citizen
• be resident at an address in the UK (or a British citizen living abroad who has been registered to vote in the UK in the last 15 years)
• not be legally excluded from voting
Visit: gov.uk/register-to-vote
People are advised not to leave it until the last minute in case of issues.
The polls will be open on December 12 from 7am until 10pm with 357 polling stations available throughout the county.
