SALISBURY RFC’s Mini Section’s annual festival was held on Sunday.
More than 950 players aged between six and 11 took part, with clubs from Oakmedians, Bournemouth, Wimborne, Winchester, Ellingham and Ringwood, Hungerford, Devizes and Andover.
The Rugby Football Union no longer allows competitions so although there were no winners, everybody had the smile of a winner as they departed with a participants’ medal.
Chairman and festival organiser, Nicola Rawnson, said she was “exhausted but elated” with the success of the day.
She added: “Thanks go to everyone who assisted in making the day a success and senior players who visited and supported the future of Salisbury RFC.”
