A SALISBURY-BASED choreographer is performing her award-winning dance to a ten thousand audience at a major festival in Lithuania this month.
Hatti Dawson, 21, will be performing The Fragility of Power (2017) a contemporary hip hop piece in Studfestas where she will be representing the UK’s university dance scene.
Hatti came first at the International Young Choreographer Competition for this performance in February this year in Kiev, Ukraine.
Speaking of her selection to represent her country Hatti said: “I’m thrilled and honoured to be chosen and performing to such a massive audience.
“This will add to my experience as a performer and hopefully make me a more confident dancer.”
The former South Wilts Grammar School student, initially trained at Salisbury Dance Studios before going on to study a BA (Hons) Dance degree at De Montfort University where she achieved a First Class Honours Degree.
Hatti has recently launched her own dance school, Panthera Dance Company, which offers dance instruction in hip hop, commercial and contemporary dance for all ages and abilities in the city and throughout the county.
The festival dance takes place on October 24.
