A VINTAGE clothing shop in Salisbury was selected to provide some of the wardrobe for a new BBC2 series.
Foxtrot Vintage Clothing on Fisherton Street contributed a range of 60s and 70s kit to the wardrobe team of Trust, after actress Anna Chancellor chanced across the store during her visit to the city.
The actress from Four Weddings visited the shop last year, and after trying a few items herself planned for the wardrobe team to visit the vintage store's warehouse, with the beginning of filming only weeks away.
Trust is based on the true story of John Paul Getty III being kidnapped and held for ransom by the Mafia, so millionaire-looking stock was needed to reflect the millionaire status of the cast and the richest family in America during the 70s.
Opened in 2006, Foxtrot is a supplier of "true vintage" stock meaning majority of the clothes are legitimately from the 1940s - 1980s.
Owner of Foxtrot Vintage, Elena Jackson said: “We have provided many unique items for TV and film before such as Downton Abbey and Mr Selfridge, plus many stars needing a red carpet stunner, but this is a real coup for us and we are delighted Anna found us.”
The staff are not able to predict how much of their stock will be granted air-time, however a black and white bikini has already been spotted in the trailer, and a gold, glittery dress from the pilot episode is thought to have come from Foxtrot.
Diane Hampstead from the store said: "We are a destination shop so people do travel from all over to us and we sell a lot.
"It's a great place to work, with every item you learn something new."
