The body of a young man was found in Salisbury today.
The man's body was found hanging from a tree on a footpath near the river Avon between Devizes Road and Stratford-sub-Castle.
It is understood a dog walker discovered the body early this morning and called paramedics.
A police spokesman said: "We were called by ambulance at just before 7am today to attend a report of a sudden death of a man in his 20s in the Mill Lane area of Stratford-sub-Castle.
"There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances in relation to the death.
"Next of kin have been informed and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
"This is not linked to the on-going incident in Salisbury city centre."
