Police cordoned off parts Sainsbury's car park in Salisbury this afternoon.
Entrances to the top floor of the car park were sealed, but access to the supermarket is open via the ramp.
Earlier an ambulance and two police cars were seen heading to the area.
Black screens have been set up under a covered walkway at the top of one set of steps.
Wiltshire Police directed questions to the Metropolitan Police, which is leading the investigation into the ongoing major incident in the city.
A Met spokesman said he could not "100 per cent" confirm the closure was linked to the Skripal poisoning case, but said it was probable.
He repeated the Met's previous line that it would not be giving "a running commentary" on the investigation.
More as we have it.
