AN evacuation took place this morning from flats in Salisbury after a motorbike caught fire.
The owner of the motorbike had gone in to start his 1,000cc Kawasaki bike when it burst into flames.
He was unable to put the fire out on the 20-year-old bike which went on to destroy the garage, located next to several flats by the snooker club in Tollgate Road.
It is understood the heat from the fire cracked some of the windows in the flats and there was a partial evacuation of the flats.
Firefighters were called out at around 9.10am and extinguished the fire.
A fire investigation is now being carried out.
