YIPPEE. I have moved house and (I probably should be careful here) - it has been virtually stress free.
I have gradually been filling up my 24-hour access lock-up numbered 007 (can you believe it?) for the last few weeks.
Well, I say me, but I haven't actually been into the unit. Nope. My Amazing Neighbour and the former LOML have been making the 20 round trip, lugging and humping.
And on Saturday, The Teen and I spent the day at the stables, having lunch with friends and returned to our temporary home to find it in an almost perfect state - we only had hang up our clothes and put five bags of toiletries in neat little piles.
Even better is that on Friday, when I complete, my Amazing Neighbour and his gang of men, will have the keys to turn the dilapidated house into a thing of beauty.
And I am so excited - mostly because I won't be living in the hovel while it is being bashed about.
It's funny, but during my twenties, when the Teen was tiny and I was very poor indeed, I didn't flinch at living in a house while building work was happening.
But now, the idea makes me shudder.
I do realise that I am very lucky to be able to live in a pretty little cottage in the meantime.
However, after reading my completion statement, that has literally just landed, the meantime might mean a lifetime, so skint has this move left me.
But I don't care a jot. I feel like I am on holiday.
And I don't even feel the tiniest bit sad that I am leaving after 14 years.
This is a new chapter and I can't wait to turn the page.
