THE Teen has fallen in love.
He is a very tall, dark and handsome young man if not a little needy.
His name is Mars and he is a four year old gelding.
And despite my initial reservations I have given the relationship my approval.
You see she is 18 and has saved up for years for this moment.
Technically, she doesn't need my permission at all, but we are close and respect each other's opinion.
So, while I am still waiting to exchange contracts on my house (apparently this WILL happen tomorrow - despite the moving date changing at least a thousand times) I have been on tenterhooks akin to an anxious grandma.
And this afternoon, The Teen is moving Mars to his new home.
His new home has got to be one of the prettiest yards I have ever been to.
It is like something out of a Famous Five novel.
I am sure the horses get a cream tea at 3pm instead of a hay net.
And the cost is so reasonable that all my fears about being saddled in debt have evaporated.
The grazing is great, the stable is in the middle of five, so Mars will be next to Digger and George et al and there is a school and direct Forest access.
Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick.
