A HEALTH and wellbeing programme is available to all staff at Salisbury District Hospital with physiotherapy, cholesterol check-ups and mindfulness sessions on offer in addition to staff counselling, flu jabs, a social running club and much more.
The programme is in addition to the facilities offered by the on site staff leisure centre.
Sharon Holt, the hospital’s lead for Health and Wellbeing, said: “We have been recognised as one of ten Exemplar NHS Trusts for our work on Health and Wellbeing for staff. The idea is that when our staff are well and satisfied, the experience of our patient improves.
“Our programme is Shape Up @ Salisbury and staff can find out more via the intranet page.We have a full-time physio service as well as a registered mental health nurse helping with stress and anxiety.
“There are blood pressure, weight and cholesterol check-up clinics. We would also love to restart our hospital choir so if there are any retired music teachers or trained singers interested in setting up a choir here on a volunteer basis, then please do get in touch.”
