FOR the second year running, Salisbury District Hospital has been placed in the top 120 healthcare organisations to work in, in the country.
The list, compiled by the Health Service Journal and the Nursing Times, in partnership with NHS Employers, is a celebration of NHS organisations that have worked hard to promote great staff engagement and create an environment where people can enjoy their work.
Data was taken from staff surveys and categorised into seven core areas including leadership and planning, role satisfaction, work environment and training, development and resources.
It was then analysed by the independent research firm Best Companies Group producing the top 120 healthcare organisations out of 450 general hospital trusts community, mental health trusts and clinical commissioning groups.
Alison Kingscott, director of human resources and organisational development, said: “We are very proud of our staff and the work that they do for our local community.
“We feel it’s essential that they are supported at work, both in the care that they provide for our patients and in their own health and wellbeing.
“It’s also important that they have the opportunity to develop with us and have a rewarding career in the NHS. This is the second year running that Salisbury has been highlighted.”
