SERGEANT Si Longworth, the army photographer with 1st Armoured Brigade in Tidworth, has been presented with one of a small number of Commander Task Force Helmand Coins in recognition of his photography work in aid of The Soldiers’ Charity whilst deployed in Afghanistan last year.
Sergeant Longworth, who has recently been promoted, travels all over the world following the troops and recording their activities.
On his last tour in Afghanistan he raised money for The Forces Charity ABF, by asking for a small donation for copies of his photographs.
The photographs in the Journal of the Royal Tank Regiment amalgamation parade were taken by Mr Longworth and many pictures in Forces Briefing are his.
He has just returned from the Falkland Isles.
