A 37-YEAR-OLD man has been killed following an accident that occurred on the A303 near Stonehenge on Friday night.
Patrick Sturtivant, from Gwent, was a hit by a Mercedes car at about 8.45pm and suffered serious head injuries.
The car was driven by a 28-year-old man from London who was driving westbound at the time of the accident.
Mr Sturtivant is believed to have stopped his car to take pictures of the Stonehenge, it was when re-crossing the busy A303 that he was hit.
He was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital but died of his injuries on Saturday evening.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to call 101 or crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
