Yes, Rio during Carnival.
If you had a million pounds to give away what would you do with the money?
Donate it all to the Trussell Trust (but don’t tell my wife!)
If you had a time machine where would it take you?
To the day before a major world event like 9/11 to see if there was something I could do to change that.
What was your most embarrassing moment?
I was invited as a VIP to the opening games of Belfast Giants ice-hockey season and when they played ‘Who Let the Dogs Out?’ I jumped up and shouted ‘woof, woof, woof woof’ and no one else stood up or made a sound, my wife nearly died beside me!
Is there someone well known you’ve met who really impressed you?
Martin Lewis, Money Saving Expert, because he is so passionate about what he does and how it can help people.
If you were stranded on a desert island what luxury would you choose to have with you?
A yacht, but maybe that’s just common sense!
Who was your first love?
Elizabeth, she was an Irish redhead from school – and then I married an Irish redhead, so I guess I have a type.
Apart from the Journal what newspapers do you read and who is your favourite columnist?
Eva Wiseman from the Observer is my favourite journalist, I also like Ros Wynne-Jones from the Mirror and Charlie Cooper at The Independent.
If you could make or change any law, what would it be?
I’d make it a law that no one could earn more than six times the national average salary.
If you could take over someone’s job for the day, whose would you pick?
David Cameron on a Tuesday!
What is your proudest moment?
The birth of my kids closely followed by when my daughter picked up her Wessex Basketball Championship trophy.
What would you like your epitaph to be?
Here lies David, put here by his two kids (I’ve always said that’s what I’ll put!)
What is the most common misconception about you?
I’m full of myself.
Is it ever acceptable to break the law?
Yes, when the greater good comes into play.
How did you meet your significant other?
She met me and told her friends that she was going to marry me, then she actually proposed to me.
