THERE was a busy training weekend for soldiers from Old Sarum based B Sqn the Royal Wessex Yeomanry who have been conducting specialist training in Bovington.
This was focusing on the individual skills required for all the differing trades in the regiment.
The Challenger 2 turret crews were in Donnington, Shropshire, undertaking gunnery training.
In the meantime, drivers and commanders were undertaking driver and maintenance training at Bovington in the thunder, lightning and torrential rain.
The regiment's medics received highly relevant training from the yeomanry’s doctors and from two regular army combat medical technicians with recent operational experience.
There was also selection and training for the regimental pistol team in preparation for the Army Reserves National Pistol Competition in September.
The RWxY won gold in 2013.
