Memorial board unveiled at St Michael and All Angels' Garrison Church
A 1 Mechanized Brigade Memorial Board at St Michael and all Angels' Garrison Church, Tidworth, was unveiled by General Sir Mike Jackson, formerly of 3rd (UK) Division.
1 Mechanized Brigade has provided soldiers and units for current military operations since 2004, when the brigade deployed to Iraq on Operation TELIC 4.
The memorial board recognises the sacrifice made by the 49 soldiers from the brigade who died during these operations.
Inclusion criteria for the memorial were those who died in theatre or in the UK and whose families were awarded the Elizabeth Cross.
