A PARTY of sappers from the Recce Troop of 6 HQ and Support Squadron of Perham Downbased 22 Engineer Regiment spent a week building a new urn rest at Tidworth Cemetery.
After marking out the site with a string line, the turf was cut and the topsoil removed in order to allow the kerbstones to be seated. After all the spoil was removed and the edges tidied, the kerbstones were concreted into place.
After the concrete had set, ground matting was laid and the urn rest filled with gravel. Tidworth Military Cemetery now has a lovely new facility courtesy of 22 Regiment.
