AS part of the First World War commemorations, Tidworth Netheravon and Bulford Garrison is hosting a series of military history lecturers.
The event this year, 1914 the Opening Shots, will be held on Wednesday, July 9 at the Garrison Theatre in Tidworth.
There will be five lectures during the day beginning at 9.30am and the event will conclude at about 4.30pm.
The lectures are: 9.30am, Peter Hart Ready for War 1914; 10.45am Lt Col (Retd) Graham Parker, The Royal Flying Corps of 1914; noon, Dr David Kenyon, We’ll do it! What is it?
Cavalry of the BEF 1914; 2pm, Steve Roberts, Mons 1914; and finally, at 3.30pm, Richard Broadhead, Wiltshire in the Great War.
The event is free and open to all although seats are limited to the capacity of the theatre (700).
