Amy Booth is currently appearing at Salisbury Playhouse as Joyce Chilvers in the musical comedy Betty Blue Eyes. She was one of the finalists on I’d Do Anything and performed in The Light Princess at the National Theatre.

What three words best describe you?

Short, mischievous and silly.

Who was your childhood hero and why?

My big brother. I was a bit of a tomboy growing up so I wanted to be just like him.

What is your most precious possession and why is it important to you?

My family and friends. They are my world.

What was the first record/CD you bought?

Black and White by Michael Jackson on cassette.

What is the radio/television show you hate to miss?

The Great British Bake Off.

What is your favourite film?

Bridget Jones’s Diary.

What are you reading at the moment?

I'm re-reading the Harry Potters.

What is your pet hate?

People with big egos.

If you could change one thing about the place where you live, what would it be?

I live in a studio flat so I wish it was slightly bigger and also for some bizarre reason I’ve always dreamed of living over a little independent coffee shop.

Is there anything you are superstitious about?

Yes, I can't walk over odd numbers of paving slabs or street drains etc…weird, I know.

What is your favourite word?

Basic.

And your least favourite word?

Flan.

If you were choosing a last meal, what would it be?

Ice cream.

If you had one wish what would it be?

That someone could discover a cure for cancer. A very good friend of mine is actually a scientist working on it, so I’ve got everything crossed.

Is there a place in the world you would like to visit above all others?

My favourite cartoon as a child was The Jetsons so I’d love to take a trip to outer space one day to see if a place like that actually exists on Saturn or something.

What do you wish you were good at?

Cooking.

If you had a million pounds to give away what would you do with the money?

I would give some to family and friends and then spread the rest across lots of different charities.

If you could meet anyone from history, who would it be?

Walt Disney.

If you had a time machine where would it take you?

Back to the ‘80s defo.

What was your most embarrassing moment?

I’ve fallen over onstage in almost every job I’ve ever done and that is always absolutely mortifying.
