JAMES Haggaty scored a hat-trick as Salisbury City under 13s' A-team saw off Phoenix 6-1 in their South Wilts Youth & Badger League match.
Although they had the wind behind them, City's youngsters struggled in the first half, but still led 2-0 at the break courtesy of Haggaty's first and a Ben Brown tap-in.
Phoenix pulled one back early in the second half before Oliver Batchelor netted twice and Haggaty completed his trio.
City's under 12s had to settle for a share of the spoils in their top of the table clash with Spire Youth.
Sam Rauh put Spire in front only for Salisbury to level almost immediately.
City's under tens' A-team had no trouble in their Red Division game with Lav-ington Juniors.
They ran out comfortable 5-1 victors thanks to goals by Cieran Johnson (3), Shaun Prentice and William Collier.
The draw for the first round of the Nadder Valley League's under 12s WC Stokes Cup has been made. Salisbury City will host Spire Youth. The tie is to be played on or before Sunday, February 11.
