Hardworking, creative, independent.
Who was your childhood hero and why?
My big brother: he’s one of those annoying people who is good at everything and I wanted to be just like him.
What was the first record/CD you bought?
Jason Donovan’s album on tape.
What is the radio/television show you hate to miss?
The Good Wife.
What is your favourite film?
A Korean film called Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter... and Spring or Pretty Woman, depending on my mood.
What is your pet hate?
Misplaced apostrophes.
If you could change one thing about the place where you live, what would it be?
A little more sunshine would be lovely.
What are you reading at the moment?
The Other Hand by Chris Cleave.
Is there anything you are superstitious about?
I can’t leave the CD volume in my car on 13.
What is your favourite word?
Kooky.
And your least favourite word?
Boring.
If you had one wish what would it be?
For everyone to be treated as equals.
Is there a place in the world you would like to visit above all others?
Japan during cherry blossom time.
What do you wish you were good at?
Singing. It’s a lot easier than carrying a piano around with you.
If you had a million pounds to give away what would you do with the money?
I’d give it to Salisbury Arts Centre to secure the future of its outreach and community work.
Who would you like to meet from history?
Martin Luther King.
Where would you go in a time machine?
Back to the 1920s for a social dance.
What was your most embarrassing moment?
Falling off the back of a stage during a concert.
Is there someone well known you’ve met who really impressed you?
I met Dirk Benedict.
If you were stranded on a desert island what luxury would you choose to have with you?
I think I’d have to go with music.
If you owned a company what kind of company would it be?
I’d love to own a craft gallery or a shop full of beautiful paper.
Tell us about a pet you own or would like to own.
I’d love to have a zebra.
What would you never leave home without?
My shoes.

Lyn Gardner’s Guardian arts reviews are always worth a read.
Whose job would you have for the day?
I’d love to be a Red Arrow pilot for the day.
What one thing could change society?
Everyone committing to at least one random act of kindness a day.
What would you like your epitaph to be?
“In my world, everyone's a pony and they all eat rainbows and poop butterflies!” Dr Seuss.
