Raft race and fete for Odstock, Nunton and Bodenham
THERE were thrills and spills at the weekend as the Odstock, Nunton and Bodenham grand fete was followed by the annual raft race.
Starting at the Odstock bridge, passing through Jubilee Gardens and finishing at the Nunton bridge, the competitors enjoyed Saturday’s sunshine and the cool water.
The race was the first since the completion of the area’s Jubilee Gardens Project, which was funded by a grant from the Hills Group Limited Landfill Communities Fund.
A facebook page has been created where it is hoped that local people will record messages of appreciation at facebook.com/JubileeGardens.
