THE Trussell Trust has opened a second hand furniture shop in Salisbury to raise essential funds to help more people to access its foodbanks.
The shop is near the household recycling centre in Stephenson Road, Churchfields Industrial Estate, and it will provide a charitable alternative for people who are throwing out good quality unwanted items. It also seeks to help those in need by selling low priced but good quality furniture, electrical and household items. The shop promotes an environmentally friendly alternative to landfill sites and it is looking to begin a social enterprise ‘up-cycling’ project where volunteers restore donated furniture. The shop will be open from Monday to Saturday from 9.30am to 4.30pm and the Trussell Trust is appealing for stock.
To donate furniture, call the recycling centre on 01722 580185.
