SWIMMERS are preparing to make a splash for charity at the annual Rotary Swimathon at Godolphin pool on Saturday, April 6.

Over the past eight years, the Journal-sponsored event has raised more than £100,000 for local causes.

This year the beneficiaries will be Help for Heroes, The Unit and Hounds for Heroes.

Teams from schools, businesses, community groups and sports clubs are invited to sign up for the sponsored event to see how far they can swim in 55 minutes.

There are still a few lanes available in the afternoon session.
