AN amateur dramatics group in Amesbury is desperately looking for new members for an upcoming production.

The Amesbury Community Players are putting on the play Breath of Spring written by Peter Coke this summer but they need new members to take part.

The story is a comedy set in the late 1950s about a group of “well-to-do ladies” and their brigadier friend who steal fur coats to sell for charity.

People are needed for both on stage and behind the scenes roles. When the play is finished, the group will begin work on a pantomime to be performed in late January 2014.

The group meets on Wednesdays between 7pm and 9pm at Wyndham Hall and anyone is welcome, with children under 10 accompanied by an adult.

Anyone interested in joining can contact Iris Russell on 01980 623749, Carol Richardson on 01980 622796, or go along on a Wednesday evening.
