PUPILS from Leehurst Swan enjoyed an interesting and informative visit to the Hills Recycling Centre in Calne as part of their geography topic on Looking after the Environment.
The tour was led by members of the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust and the Year 4 children were shown how materials from recycling bins are further sorted and packaged ready for being turned into new items.
One of the highlights of the trip was seeing how a giant magnet is used to separate aluminium and steel cans.
