POLICE are urging motorists not to hand over cash if they are stopped by people claiming to have run out of fuel.
Tidworth and Ludgershall Neighbourhood Policing Teams have received reports of motorists being flagged down along the A338 and being asked for money in exchange for gold rings.
Police are urging motorists not to part with cash or pay for any fuel.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.
