A FURTHER education careers fair is being held at Wiltshire College Salisbury on Tuesday, March 12.

The event is open to anyone wanting to learn more about all their options whether in further education, volunteering, jobs or apprenticeships.

More than 30 employers, training providers and voluntary organisations will be exhibiting at the fair and representatives will be on hand to talk to those attending.

Careers education and guidance manager Richard Wiltshire said: “Our careers fair is intended to provide a focus for all students and help them decide how they wish to progress from their current course.

“The broad range of exhibitors invited should ‘kick start’ applications to further courses, apprenticeships, local and national employers as well as volunteering opportunities in the Salisbury area.”

Those attending will include the Territorial Army, Bright Horizons, which specialise in early years and child care careers, BT Openreach, Macmillan Cancer Support, Wiltshire Police and Avon Vale Training, which offers engineering apprenticeships and also professionals working in care and support work.

Grow Wiltshire will also be attending to inform young people about volunteering opportunities in the county as well as Salisbury City Council, which will be giving advice on those who would like to start their own business.

Wiltshire College staff will also be on hand to discuss our wide range of further education and university level courses as well as apprenticeships. The fair will be held in the main hall at the Salisbury Campus from 10.30am to 1pm.
