GOATS at an animal sanctuary in Semley are enjoying a new activity platform built specially for them by engineers from an electric firm.
Workers from Southern Electric Power Distribution (SEPD) swapped their usual tools for hammers and nails and dusted off their carpentry skills to help out at the Rainbow Animal Sanctuary at Gutch Common.
Staff from SEPD’s depots in Salisbury and the New Forest have been helping out at the centre since last year and have put up fencing, built animal enclosures, pained, hung gates and carried out earthworks.
The goat platform, made from planks and pallets that were going spare, will help to keep the animals entertained as they enjoy jumping on and off it.
