BOLLARDS are to be installed outside Barclays Bank in Amesbury’s High Street in a bid to stop illegal parking there.

Town councillors heard at their last meeting that people with pushchairs and mobility scooters are struggling to get past as inconsiderate motorists are pulling up on the pavement.

“This is about safety concerns in a pedestrian area and must be seen as a matter of priority,” said cllr John Noeken.

The council agreed to look at placing bollards, possibly ones that can be removed, outside the bank as soon as possible.
